DAY 1: Yangon arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to your hotel. Yangon city tour starts with the National Museum, a five-story exhibit that houses an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, ornaments, works of art, and historic memorabilia, making it perhaps the largest single collection of Burmese history. Then off to Bogyoke Market, Yangon’s largest open marketplace replete with gems, jewelry, textiles, artwork, and more. The last stop is the Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most identifiable landmark and most important religious monument. The 100-metre-high gilded stupa, towering high over a buzzing city, certainly yields an unforgettable visiting experience. Lunch is at your own account and dinner will be served at local restaurant. Overnight stay in Yangon.

DAY 2: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock (B/L)
After breakfast, you’ll set off to Bago in the morning. Formerly an ancient capital known as Hanthawaddy, Bago hosts several national landmarks with important historic and religious significance. On the way to Bago, visit the Allied War Cemetary in Htaukkyan. Opened in 1951, the cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and is one of the most visited and highest rated war sites in Asia. Then proceed to the Kyatkatwine Teaching Monastery, one of Myanmar’s largest monastic schools for young novices. From there we head east to Mon State and the famed Golden Rock. From Kimpun Base Camp just outside of Kyaiktiyo township in Mon state, a truck will take you 45 minutes to top of the hill where the pagoda is built on the top of a gilded rock leaning off the side of a cliff. According to legend, the rock and pagoda were placed here atop a strand of the Buddha's hair over two thousand years ago by a celestial king. While there's much debate around historical accuracy, the panoramic views from the Rock are stunning. Lunch at local restaurant and dinner is at your own account. Overnight stay in Kyaikhtiyo.

DAY 3: Golden Rock – Yangon – Inle (B/D)
After breakfast, you will return to Yangon to catch your evening domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival to Heho airport, drive to Nyaung Shwe and check in at your hotel. Lunch is at your own account. Dinner at hotel and overnight stay in Nyaung Shwe or Inle Lake.

DAY 4: Inle (B/L)
After breakfast, commence a full day excursion by boat on the Inle Lake. En-route you encounter famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. You will visit to the remarkable Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the lake’s main attractions. Known for housing five 800-year old images of the Buddha, this pagoda is one of the most famous in the region. Cruising then to Inpawkhon, a floating village of highly skilled lotus weavers who have been practicing their craft for generations. Next, you’ll cruise over to the Nga Hpe Kyaung Monastery, a magnificent floating monastery built in the 1850s. Famous not only for its vast collection of Shan Buddha images, but also the incredible jumping cats. Though its generally believed the felines are not as spry as they were, it wouldn’t be unusual to see a sprightly one hop through a hoop now and then. Lunch will be served at local restaurant and dinner is at your own account. Overnight stay in Nyaung Shwe or Inle Lake.

DAY 5: Inle – Bagan (B/L)
After breakfast, you’re off via boat to Indein Pagoda, a cluster of magnificent ancient Buddhist pagodas near the village of Indein. Then proceed to the Red Mountain Estate, one of Myanmar’s mere two wineries, for lunch and varied wine tasting. You will be taken around estate by an experienced English-speaking guide, seeing and experiencing hands-on the ins and outs of producing wine in Myanmar. Certainly, it is an unforgettable highlight of the trip. After, you’ll set off for Heho Airport for your domestic flight to Nyaung U. Upon arrival to Bagan, directly transfer to the hotel and take your time to relax. Dinner is at your own account. Overnight stay in Bagan.

DAY 6: Bagan (B/D)
After breakfast at your hotel, off to the Nyaung Oo Market, the town’s largest outdoor market, filled with vendors of produce, textiles, handicrafts, and various knick-knacks. Then, you’ll continue to Bagan’s most famous pagodas and temples. The first stop is Shwezigon Pagoda built in the early 11th century by King Anawrahta, the first king of the Pagan Dynasty. Then to Gubyaukgyi Temple, which was built shortly after by his son, King Kyansittha. Finally, you’ll visit the Ananda Temple, an impressive 12th century temple that brilliantly fuses Indian and Mon architecture. In the afternoon, you’ll head over to Myinkaba village, the home of a group of master artisans renowned for their lacquerware craftsmanship. This bustling village hosts a half dozen lacquerware workshops in addition to near millennia-old temples and stupas. Then, Manuha Temple, built in traditional Mon style in 1059. After, you’ll visit an archeological museum before taking in the sunset from a viewing hill. Lunch will be at your own account and dinner will be served at a local restaurant with a traditional Burmese puppet show. Overnight stay in Bagan.

DAY 7: Bagan - Mandalay (B/L)
After breakfast, guide will pick you up at your hotel to transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Mandalay. Mandalay is brimming with historic palaces, ancient temples, and stunning pagodas. Our first stop is the Mahamuni Pagoda, a Buddhist temple and major pilgrimage site. The golden Mahamuni Buddha image inside is highly venerated by millions of Burmese people. Next is the Shwe In Bin Monastery, an intricate and ornate teak wood monastery constructed in 1895 by Chinese merchants. Although referred to as the Golden Monastery, the Shwenandaw Kyaung is made entirely out of teak wood. Built in 1878 by King Thibaw, the former royal palace captures the essence of traditional Burmese architecture and is the only remaining major original structure of the Mandalay Royal Palace today. After lunch, we’re off to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, the 57-metre high stupa perhaps best well-known for containing the world’s largest book. Each of the 1,460 pages is over 3 feet tall and housed in one of 729 incredible white stupas. As the day comes to a close, we’ll scoot off to Mandalay Hill for a stunning sunset and the sprawling vistas of the region. Dinner is at your own account. Overnight stay in Mandalay.

DAY 8: Mandalay – Amarapura – Departure (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Your last day tour begins with a pick up and drive to Amapura, an ancient capital and sister city of Mandalay. First stop is to Mahagandayon Monastery, Myanmar’s largest monastic university and home to more than a thousand young monks.
